Cate Ward is a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford Medicine where she conducts nutrition research. She earned her PhD in Metabolic Biology from UC Berkeley, where she both taught an array of nutrition science courses and trained as a scientist. She completed clinical dietetic training at UCSF, where she counseled patients with a variety of needs, ranging from weight loss to critical care to eating disorder recovery. She currently sees patients through her private nutrition practice, Cate Ward Nutrition. In her private practice, she sees an array of clients, including athletes looking to improve fueling during training and events, women during pregnancy looking to optimize nutrition intake, individuals working on improving their relationship with food and eating habits, and more.
